Diesel variants of Etios twins hit the Indian roads
Finally influenced by the regular hike in petrol prices, the Indian alliance of Toyota company, Toyota India today launched the diesel variants of both Toyota Etios Liva and Toyota Etios in the hatchback and sedan segment in Indian car market. The dealers of Toyota motors in Indian car market have started the bookings of both Toyota Etios Diesel and Toyota Etios Liva Diesel only for Rs. 50,000 only.
The petrol variant of Toyota Etios was launched in Indian car market during December 2010 whereas the petrol variant of Toyota Etios liva was launched during June this year. But due to high demand of diesel variants of different cars existing in Indian car market both these cars were struggling to make their place in market. With launch of diesel variants, Toyota Etios Liva will now be the strong contender to new Maruti Swift and Ford Figo in the hatchback segment whereas Toyota Etios Diesel will give tough competition to Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza in the sedan segment.
Coming towards the features of both Toyota Etios Liva Diesel and Toyota Etios Diesel both of them are embedded with a 1.4 litre common raid Turbo diesel engine giving an average of 23.59 kmpl. It is speculated that the low weight of Toyota Etios diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel in the sedan and hatchback segment will play the major role in improving the performance of both the cars. The other Etios Diesel specifications include ABS with power steering followed by an additional option of aribags. Besides this the other Etios Diesel specifications include saloon looking exterior supported by headlights designed in the way which gives an impression of human face smiling with dimples. In the rear portion it is equipped with big sized rain wiper which are generally found in the cars. Discussing the interiors of the Etios Diesel, the car is designed with speedo meter located in the centre of dashboard and rounded AC ventilators.
