Etios diesel and Etios Liva diesel to launch on September 9 by Shailendra
Japanese auto company, s well known for making the most prominent cars in India. On 27th June, this year had launched T Liva hatchback in petrol variant. This hatchback failed to attract the car buyers due to sky rocketing price of petrol. Last year, tors had launched in petrol variant, and this car got good response in Indian auto market. This time Toyota has planned to launch the diesel variant of both the cars. Rumor has it that Toyota Etios diesel and will be launched on September 9. There is no official statement made by company related to price of both the cars.
It is speculated that the diesel variants will inherit the same design, looks and features like it petrol variants. The twins would be powered by a powerful diesel engine . Toyota Etios diesel and Liva diesel will come affixed with a 1.4 liters Turbo CRDI diesel engine which can generate a power of 68 Bhp and promising fuel economy of 21 kilometer per litre. twins are likely to come with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox.
The company has huge expectations from the diesel variants of Etios twins. As the petrol variant of Liva could not become so popular among the car buyers because of increasing price of petrol. Maruti India a trusted company in Indian auto market and Japanese auto giant Honda will give close competition to Liva as they had already launched their hatchbacks, new Maruti Swift and new Honda Jazz respectively to compete Toyota Etios Liva. The other models offered by Toyota India includes Toyota Altis, sedan a petrol variant , Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser,, Toyota Innova a MUV and Toyota land Cruiser Pardo.
